Description | That a parcel called Hineing March was given to the churchwardens of Riccall, so that 40 pasture gates there (besides three allotted to the lord of the manor) should be enjoyed with 20 houses 'throughout the town by house-row', each tenant or owner of the houses having two gates each and paying 10s yearly towards the repair of the parish church of Riccall. That Thomas Hudson has been taking over the gates of poor people at an undervalue paid not paid the 10s in respect of them. That Gosling Marsh has time out of mind been leased by the byelawmen as a Summer Pasture, the rents going towards the repair of the common banks. That Thomas Hudson took a lease of it for 1694 at 31s rent, but has only paid 15s 6d |
