Description
The first boarding house at 'Beechwood' 3 Victoria Road was opened in 1905. Northcliffe House was opened for boarders in 1908 and Red Hall opened for boarders in 1913. Foston Hall was rented 1940-1945 for the boarders evacuated from Bridlington. The Red House was destroyed by enemy action in 1941 but was re-opened in 1945. Meanwhile Rosemount opened as a weekly boarding house in 1942 and 22 Meadowfield Road was rented as a wartime boarding house in 1943. In 1947 Delamore was opened for Juniors from Meadowfield.
