Description	Original file reference 1297 later reference 623/261 Dunnington-Jefferson was elected onto the East Riding of Yorkshire's County Council in 1922 and served on it until the council was abolished as a result of the local government reforms of 1974. He was its chairman from 1936 until 1968. He was a Justice of the Peace from 1921 and Deputy Lieutenant from 1936.
