| Description | Registers consist of record of smallholdings acquired and tenanted under the terms of the Small Holdings and Allotments Act. Registers are arranged by date of completion of purchase. Covering dates given are for dates of purchase although registers may contain later dates for acquisition by subsequent tenants.
Registers contain the following information: name of farm, parish, from whom purchased, price paid, date of completion of purchase, number of holding, name and address of tenant, number of field on Ordnance Survey, cultivation, area, rent, date of commencement of tenancy and remarks. Includes names of subsequent tenants. Registers contain an index to the names of tenants. |
